Bursa Saham Kuala Lumpur (28hb Oktober 2008) dibuka rendah pada dagangan pagi ini berikutan kebimbingan pelabur pada keadaan krisis ekonomi global.
Pada 9.15pagi Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) menjunam 50.43 mata ke 808.68.
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — Share prices on Bursa Malaysia were sharply lower in early trading today on persistent selling across the board by investors worried about the global economic situation, dealers said.
They said investors continued to trim their position in line with steep fall in regional markets on concern over slowdown in the global economy.

"There is panic selling in the market after the US stocks slumped to their lowest levels in 5 years overnight," a dealer said.
At 9.15am the benchmark Kuala Lumpur Composite Index (KLCI) fell 50.43 points to 808.68. It opened lower by 21.42 to 837.69.
The Industrial Index declined 111.98 points to 1,953.05, the Finance Index dropped 436.05 points to 6,166.85 and the Plantation Index eased 236.08 points to 3,072.55.
The FBMEmas fell 338.94 points to 5,294.74, the FBM30 lost 378.27 points to 5,202.89, the FBM2BRD decreased 83.52 points to 4,195.52 and the FBMMesdaq Index was 65.27 points lower at 3,306.70.
Losers outnumbered gainers by 312 to 14 while 46 counters were unchanged, 962 untraded and 26 others suspended.
Volume was at 53.838 million shares worth RM82.803 million.
Volume leaders IOI Corp fell 30 sen to RM2.15, KNM eased six sen to 44 sen, Resorts Wold lost 19 sen to RM2.18 and Tenaga slipped 50 sen to RM6. Heavyweight Sime Darby dropped 50 sen to RM5.50, MISC declined 35 sen to RM7.80 and Public Bank lost 60 sen to RM7.95. (bernama)
